King's - Local Missions
At Chartwell, charity does begin at home. It just so happens that we have a large home -- Oakville. And while we tend to think that the greatest needs must always be in the far corners of the earth, Chartwell has found great need and the opportunity to do God’s work on familiar streets and with familiar faces.
We have also learned that recognizing need and discussing needs are not enough. Acting in the name and spirit of God is what is needed most.
Food, training, housing, employment, friendship, counseling, caring and repairing all fall under our mandate. Please take a few moments to learn about the important projects Chartwell has undertaken in and around Oakville. Then, take a few moments to reflect upon the impact you can have with us as we follow Jesus into the community and the lives of our neighbours.
